Frequently Asked Questions
What sets Cantechtools apart ?
We pay attention to the entire systems not just individual components. It is a lot easier to replace specific parts to fix a symptom as it is to diagnose the core issues. Our combined knowledge of water chemistry, physics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, controls, electrical and mechanical engineering allow us to tackle the most complex issues faced today by building engineers.
Do you work for homeowners ?
We do not service equipment at single residential homes.
Do you offer 24/7 support ?
No, our regular working hours are Monday to Friday 7 am to 6 pm. However we offer emergency troubleshooting on an overtime basis. We also offer long term maintenance contracts with predefined rates.
Is Cantechtools familiar with heat pumps ?
As the market is moving towards more integration of heat pump technology in commercial buildings, we are building our knowledge and tools to efficiently service this type of equipment. We can assist in the system design but our core focus is on start-up, commissioning and maintenance.
Do you do offer permit to operate for boilers ?
Cantechtools does not offer permits to operate services or any other code compliance evaluations. However, for any equipment serviced, we determine if the installation was done properly per manufacturer’s recommendation and that it meets applicable codes, standards and safety regulations.
Do you use original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts ?
Our first choice is always to use components in line with the original equipment manufacturer’s instructions. However, selecting replacement parts during service or maintenance can be difficult when original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts are obsolete. Choosing the right replacement parts is essential to their continued functionality and longevity. We have a unique database of parts, searchable by equipment model number, with list of manufacturers recommended replacement parts and substitutes if obsolete. This ensures that replacement parts have been evaluated for high-quality materials that are designed to last, are compatible with your equipment and comes with a warranty equivalent to the OEM’s warranty.
